poem: corazon

nothing boys, whose head is something
i am not and cannot
be, i don’t know what
and how. you are thinking, your hands
your wide beautiful shoulders
wide eyes. i am lonelier
with your existence than if
your existence was
not; you are not like me, there is
no danger of your leaving
planets. the mythology it
stays long after my sad shallow
feelings have gone.
